February 2025

Not much happened this month, just worked on art stuff mostly. Cat friend’s health seems to be improving, but vet still has some concerns, so she will be having another visit later this month.

Games

Video games recently played:
- [ PC ] Fragrance Point : A game with fun visuals that remind me of a specific style of CGI imagery that had some popularity in the 90s and early 2000s.



- Assorted Monster Hunter Games : Think I’ll skip Monster Hunter Wilds for now, but I am in a Monster Hunter mood so playing some of the older games, mainly Generations on 3DS. I forgot at one point the MH games allowed you to play as a palico.

Moving Pictures

Things that I have watched recently:
- [ TV ] Sherlock Hound : Just had this playing in the background as I worked. It’s Sherlock Holmes, but dogs.

- [ Film ] Hundreds of Beavers : Very silly slapstick film. I enjoyed it.

Artwork

I have started work on Chapter 1 of my Teratoma comic. A look at a panel from one of the completed pages can be seen [ here. ] Most of the pages will be using a visual style similar to [ these sketches, ] but there will still be the occasional painted page. With the sketch style I am able to complete a page within a day, with the painted style it can take 3-5 days. If I am able to complete 2 pages a week, I should be able to complete Chapter 1 this year, but we will have to see how things go.
Favorite painting so far this year is [ this painting of Scab and Cane. ]
