November 2025
Have now moved over my entire workspace to Linux (I was still using Windows for Clip Studio Paint.)
So far, everything seems to be mostly working. Clip Studio has some graphical errors, but I am able draw with it, which is what matters most. Having everything in one place is helping with productivity a bit. Not having to reboot into a different OS is nice.
Games
Video games recently played:
- [ PC ] Creatures 2 : Got 86Box all setup, so playing some Creatures 2. Raising some frog norns.
- [ PC ] Wild Life! : Been looking through old virtual pet sites and came across this. It’s a 3D game about managing a wildlife park. It is developed by Clear Crown Studios utilizing the 3D Game Studio engine, and a sequel to their previous game, Sprite Life. There appears to be very little information about these games available.
- [ PC ] Spaghetti Spyro : I’ve been hoping someone would create a tool for creating custom Spyro levels someday. Very neat to see such a project.
- [ PS1 ] Spyro Trilogy : Spaghetti Spyro put my brain in a Spyro mood so played some of the original games.
Moving Pictures
Things that I have watched recently:
- [ Film ] Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein : Guillermo del Toro has been pretty consistent at directing lovely films, he has continued this with his latest film, Frankenstein.
- [ Film ] Strange Frame : Watching this again. The cut-out art style mixed with the airbrushing and soft lighting creates such interesting visuals.

The Fields project I was working on was meant to be a mini-project...though the more I worked on it the less mini it seemed and has begun to not be so fun to work on. So project is on hiatus until I can figure out what to do with it. I am moving onto a different Blender Game Engine project for now: [ Salamander Isles. ]
It is inspired a bit by the Spyro games and various run-around-as-a-critter games (such as Wolfquest and The Endless Forest. ) It’s a sandbox with no set goals, just exploring the environment and interacting with various objects and characters as a salamander critter. It takes place in the same setting as Fields, but is more silly / whimsical. I am learning quite a bit as I work on it, which will help with Fields.
That is all the words for now,
bye-bye.
